Our Volunteers

Volunteers are people who work for others selflessly. We as humans always need some or the other help but we sometimes forget to give back the kindness.

The volunteers at Second Harvest are not only selfless and kind, they are tireless workers for our community. Many have suffered their own misfortunes and understand that we all need human interaction to survive.

At our Community Food Centre Volunteers have the choice of many and varied positions such as:

  • Low cost Community Food Centre: pricing stock, stacking shelves, assisting customers and working behind the register
  • Op Shop: sorting, tagging, pricing and stacking
  • Tea, coffee and conversation maker
  • BBQ chef for Friday‚Äôs lunch
  • Driver for collection of stock and donations
  • Fruit and Veg preparation

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
